  1. This is funny — but, ya know…I heard on the news today about Iraq “almost” being ready to stand on their own. But, although they have made progress, they are still heavily relying on the U.S. for help/support military-wise.

    So, here’s my question: why can WE send our troops to the front line with only 8 weeks of boot camp, but these people can’t get it together after 5 years???

  2. Well, they do get more than the 8 weeks, but you do have a good point there. I suppose we stay ’cause we really don’t trust them to get it right. I suspect if we left the place would shortly become infested with assorted fools and dick-weeds.
