Visiting my doctor recently; he was adamant that I loose weight and cut my sodium to get my blood pressure down. I did loose about 15 lbs a couple years ago but got sloppy and gained it back. I had never really paid any mind to sodium; consuming processed foods with abandon. So today I checked the label on my Diet Coke (which I drink all the time) and found it has 40mg sodium per 12 oz serving. I compared that to the sugar free powder drink mix (which I also drink a lot of) and found it contained no sodium at all ! I can cut a boatload of sodium just by dropping the Diet Coke…..
