I'm a little past the halfway point, a good read indeed. The author's skillful use of language awakens a vicarious adventure in the comfort of my chair.... https://goo.gl/mrbPgT

Universal Basic Income
Seems a very radical idea, and in fact it is. But the growing problem of income inequality combined with what seems to be the inexorable advance of technology seems to demand it. If we don't have a Universal Basic Income there is likely to be social chaos as the wealthy fall prey to hordes of … Continue reading Universal Basic Income
Labor Day weekend recap….
Stayed up too late Friday, slept late on Saturday. I'm happy to say I did go to church Saturday evening. Vegetated all day Sunday and went to bed early. Today I finished reading Unleash Your Buddha Nature which is a good intro, sort of a Buddhism 101. Good book, I enjoyed it and found it … Continue reading Labor Day weekend recap….

The story of stuff….
It seems to me sometimes that we don't own our stuff, rather our stuff owns us....https://goo.gl/ggrcC8 We accumulate so much stuff, it gets in the way and sometimes causes arguments. We hold on to stuff for sentimental value but it is stuffed away hidden in a cardboard box in a dark rarely entered room....

A weekend recap; stayed up lurking in cyberspace way too late on Friday. So that put a damper on Saturday. I did better Saturday night, went to bed around 10:30. Today, Friday and Thursday I walked over 10k steps each day. I hope to get my 10K everyday this week !
Good day today….

It’s coffee time….
A hot summer day at a family outing in the park. The kids was playing in the creek. I noticed the current pulling Leah down stream. I yelled "Leah!" and springing into action I took a flying leap into the creek where I was met with the cold reality of a hardwood floor. Ouch ! … Continue reading It’s coffee time….

A mixed bag this weekend was. We were able to get two long bike rides in which wear me out. But that's a good thing as it means I am getting a good workout. I was able to get some work done for the office too... On a not so good note, the neighbor's Pit … Continue reading weekend update….
God and the Gay Christian
I decided to read this book to learn more about the Gays in the church issue. I had already changed my views from non-affirming to affirming based on my own thinking and reading personal stories of Gay Christians but I wanted to learn more about the subject. This book is about a conservative Gay Christian … Continue reading God and the Gay Christian

BASIC on the Web... Back in the day (80's & 90's) every computer came with the BASIC programming language. Nothing like what we have today but I had fun with it. Taking Up Serpents
Taking Up Serpents I'm visiting my daughter and parents for Christmas. I'm at my daughter's house now and just finished watching a youTube video about snake handling churches. (I know it's an odd thing to do on Christmas Eve, but anyway) It's pretty amazing to see. I know people can do a lot of things … Continue reading Taking Up Serpents
